Fmob, I'm all ears as to what Should have happened??

Come on, don't by shy

Inflated transfer market, inflated player egos, and the fact we are STRUGGLING.

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Bilic's first summer in charge we bought in Payet, lanzini, Antonio, obiang & Randolph all of whom have made a big impact on the team.

2nd summer of signings has been a disaster but I think him and the board deserve another chance to get it right this summer.

Glad we didn't sign Hogan just for the sake of signing a striker in January like many on here wanted and I think Fonte and Snodgrass will turn out to be decent signings.

So payet was shit?
Obiang shit?
Antonio shit?

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
I don't know how anyone can defend Bilic's transfer business, hez had two full windows now and bought a load of old shit. Let whoever brought the players in the two windows before that resume handling our transfer business and let Slav concentrate on getting the tactics repeatedly wrong on a matchday with better players.

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Son, the clamour was because the owners have done such a good job of manipulating the fans and many now believe that we should be grateful if we sign 34 year old free transfers.

World class stadium for world class signings. Hahahahahahaaha.

Shit tip stadium for shit tip signings. Spot on.

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Russ, I could have explained better.
I feel certain that Sullivan makes the signings but Bilic can not use the 'not my signings' excuse. If the players end up in his squad he is responsible and their failure is his failure.

I was suprised by the clamour to sign this guy like he was Messi or something.

We dont have the cash to write off a bad singing, if someone dosent work out they can be moved on (Zaza) but a crock is a crock and youre stuck with them.

"Bilic is responsible for the players that come in as he is the manager but it is blatantly obvious that the signings are made by Sullivan"

What does that even mean? Are you differentiating between 'players that come in' and 'signings'??

If you are, how?

1307 5:37 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
You really are a sucker for club pr, Egg.
Do you believe that Bilic, Tore apart, had a say in the other signings? jeez. Free transfers, loans and players signed just because the selling club gives us 99 year terms were signed by what penny pinching, con man at the club? Now, let me think.

Eggbert Nobacon 5:33 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
it's a joint process with Bilic, Henry and Sullivan

would have thought you'd know that

Last year was shite, the year before was awesome

happens everywhere

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Egg, Bilic is responsible for the players that come in as he is the manager but it is blatantly obvious that the signings are made by Sullivan, so if you are going to champion one or two half decent signings I will make you aware of his other little 'gems'.

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
All clubs and managers end up signing the odd dud.

More so at the clubs around our position, as none of the established proven elite want to join us.

Most on the list mentioned were gash, but a few of them at least contributed on a few occasions with some vital goals.

Valencia and Zaza the stand out gimps, as they cost serious dough, or would have in Zaza's case.

Eggbert Nobacon 5:20 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
well why would i select anything other than the current people that decide who we buy?

how bizarre to expect anything different?

1307 5:15 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Aah Egg, your being selective so you are not proved wrong...again.

Eggbert Nobacon 5:08 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
not really as most of your list is utterly incorrect as neither Bilic or Henry were around

1307 5:02 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Egg, the same people signed Zaza, Calleri, Arbeloa, Valencia, Tore, Jenkinson, Norveidt, Ayew, Ogbonna, Hendrie, Emineke, Poyet, Henry, Maiga, Nene, Diarra, Jarvis, Nolan, Pogatez, Chamakh, Paulista, Mido, barrera, Baldock, maynard, Diop, Carew...Do you want me to go on?

Eggbert Nobacon 4:55 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
same in all cases (month signed and first matches)

Yeah sorry I thought Kanoute was there too for some reason!

Steven P 4:54 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Is that signed for dates Eggy or first game? Also, why chuck Kanoute in? The other one was Ashton! Haha.

Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Yes, glad we avoided Hogan but managed to sign Tore, Norvedt, feghouli, Arbeloa, Calleri, Zaza.
Phew, lucky we've got such shrewd owners and manager.

The year before the exact same people signed Payet, Lanzini, Obiang and Antonio for roughly the cost Spurs paid for Sissoko

1307 4:52 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Sid, expectations have been managed to such a degree that supporters are now happy with a winger who CANNOT go past a fullback. feghouli has no trick and CONSTANTLY goes to the full back, turns back and plays a simple 10 yard pass to his own full back. He is very, very poor but the PR team really do feed BS that supporters believe.

Side of Ham 4:37 Tue Feb 21
Re: Scott Hogan ? SIGNED.....for Villa.
Well if Feghouli is shit i'd like to see the improved version of the crosses he puts into the box, as the ones i've seen so far (about 2 a game) have been superb.
